Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
What you need for this position:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
Proficiency in Manufacturing Process Planning, 3D CAD Design, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
Experience in Tooling and Fixture Design.
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering and Process Engineering.
Proven track record in Process Improvement.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software.
